The restaurant was absolutely incredible, the new owners have done such a wonderful job. I had a delicious steak cooked in front of us in the restaurant on a large grill. The chips with it were delicious and there was a really great atmosphere in the restaurant. Everything was so clean and the team were really friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back very soon!
On arrival greated by friendly cheerful young lady. Very helpful explained the menu and facilities in an informative friendly way. We had a great chat re allergies which was really helpful. Our meal was served well and cooked to perfection. We had a lovely evening great atmosphere and we plan to go regularly highly recommend.
A quirky very friendly hotel with great staff and a Grill dining room whare they cook food in front of you! They are fairly new owners and are renovating so things will only get nicer!
Emily and Mark are great hosts and all the staff are very attentive. The food is of a good standard and there is a wide choice of wine. It's not the cheapest but quality isn't. You can go to Wetherspoons if you want cheap.
Stayed here in early July 2025 with my daughter. We had a lovely time and the hotel is really nice. Lovely staff and rooms. Would definitely stay again. The breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic experience at The Smugglers in Brixham. The food was delicious, the setting was cosy and welcoming, but what really stood out was the service - especially from Emma and Emily. They were incredibly attentive from the moment we arrived, striking the perfect balance between friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made sure everything was just right throughout our visit. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality - Emma & Emily were a real credit to the team. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

We had such a lovely stay at the Smugglers Hotel. The owners and staff are so friendly and can not do enough to make your stay one to remember. The hotel has been tastefully decorated and presented in the reception, bar and dining area. The rooms are very clean and our bed and pillows were so comfy. Food and service was very good. Thank you for a wonderful experience, we will be back to visit soon
